Mountain Queen, Mocktail & Cocktail
Named after world record mountain climber, Lhakpa Sherpa (1973), also known as the mountain queen. this milk tea mocktail is made keeping in mind the history of milk tea and its Tibetan/Himalayan roots. Sherpa is a world-renowned Nepalese mountaineer who holds the record for the most successful female summits of Mount Everest, with 10 ascents. Cheers to the mountain queen, may her summits pave the path and mark the trail for the women who dream to climb!
Ingredients
4 oz jasmine tea, brewed strong and chilled
1.5 oz condensed milk (I like condensed coconut milk)
1.5 oz coconut milk
.75 oz Rich Aunty syrup
optional: 1.5 - 2 oz barrel aged rum
garnish: fresh grated nutmeg
Instructions
Brew Jasmine green tea, 3 bags for every 8 ounces, and allow to chill
In a cocktail shaker or blender, mix the tea, condensed milk, coconut milk, and Rich Aunty syrup until smooth
Pour over ice and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
